Souvenir luggage tags?

For anyone who has travelled to WDW in the last few months, did you still receive the souvenir luggage tags with your travel documents? I know they have started shipping them to American clients with their magic bands, but since they don't ship our magic bands to Canada I'm just curious what they've been doing with the luggage tags for Canadians. The new ones are really cute. We're just wondering if we're still going to get them or not.

As far as I know, the souvenir tags come with your travel documents from Disney - vouchers, etc. I don't think they're actually shipped with the MagicBands. They usually have their own separate box, and the tags come in an envelope with the documents.

It was that way, but Disney has started sending the luggage tags in the box with the magic bands. There have been several posts about it because they are in the bottom of the box under the tray the magic bands sit in and lots of people have missed them.

My DD just traveled to Disney on Saturday (31st)

When they got their documents, only the yellow Magical Express sticker/labels were in the package.

No souvenir tags at all.

I posted this thread before I saw your answer in the other luggage tag thread, thanks for the info Skjhjb. I'm wondering if maybe they'll be in the magic band box when we check in since the US people are getting them in their magic band boxes when they're shipped. It's not a huge deal in the big scheme of things, but our kids like to collect them and put them on their travel backpacks (and the new ones are so cute!)

Our last 2 trips - March & August of this year - they no longer give us the bands in boxes. In March they were wrapped around a sort of cardboard tube. In August they just handed us the bands.

Yep. We were bummed. POR in March & BC in Aug.

We checked in March 13 and still got the full box. Maybe it depends on how each resort chooses to store them? Or maybe ours were just processed earlier than yours, despite your earlier check-in date, and then packaging changed? Strange.

I understand that - but the original question asked was "do we get them still sent to us here in Canada since the magic bands are picked up" and I was just answering that no, my daughter only got the ME tags sent to her, no decorative tags - they were with her bands when they got there on Halloween to check in.

We went September 30th, the luggage tags no longer come with you travel documents, they will instead hand them to you in a small sleeve at check in. Magic bands came on a grey cardboard thing, we were told they were not doing boxes for resort pick up.

DD checked in this past Thursday and got her Magic band in the box - which as always - she declined.

Only the yellow DME luggage stickers came with my travel documents before I left. The souvenir luggage tag was given to me when I checked in at the Front Desk along with my magic band. The magic band is now on a plain cardboard tube (no longer the large box) and the souvenir luggage tag is in a separate small plain cardboard sleeve. My souvenir tag matched my magic band colour. I ordered a blue magic band so my souvenir tag was the blue Donald Duck one.

Were you on a package? They are only for people with packages. If you were they should have handed them to you. We got ours on arrival at the resort in October. In the future, if they don't automatically give them to you be sure to ask for them.

If I booked my hotel on the Disney website, should I get the Luggage tags? I had a trip in October...where I stayed at 2 hotels, so had 2 Magicband Boxes and no luggage tags?

So, the luggage tags only come with a package (tickets and room?) We have annual passes and stayed at 2 hotels in October, received our Magic Bands for both reservations, but no luggage tags.
