As a child my mom had a sillouhette done of my profile....along with one of my sister. It was done on black paper that was sticky on the back and attached to a white backing. Are these still made in Dland and if so how much are they? I would love to get one made of my son and I together.

Yep~! I am staring at two right now as I type, one of me and DD#1 and me and DD#2. I am getting mine done with DS next month! They are great to have, I wanna say I paid between $7-$9 each for the paper and around $13 or so for the black oval frame that fits it! It will look great once I have all three lined up on my wall.

The only thing bugging me is they changed frames between DD1 and DD2, so now I have to buy another frame but I am waiting to see if they changed it since 2004!

I'm glad to hear these are reasonably priced since I want to get these for all 3of my kids. I think they are such a nice keepsake.

Andrea you are the best......THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
I am so looking forward to having this done with my son...and that's a great price as well. Thank you.

Thanks for the info-I always wanted to know how much these were?! They are so cute!

Do the children have to sit still a long time?? My boys are very active and I don't think they would sit still for long. Anyone have an example?

The cast members do the silhouettes very quickly (maybe 3 or 4 minutes) and they chat to the children. We had my 3 yr old do it in September and it turned out beautifully. There was a picture in front of the kids with Disney stickers all over it and that provides enough focus for the child. It's a great souvenir. Definitely do it!

The Silhouette Shop is on Main Street across from the arcade. They do not open until 12:00-12:30. With my two boys, we got their "expert" who has been there for years and years. It took her less than a minute. They have tons of things for small children to look at as well. You just need to hold them on your lap and tell them what to look at. I was so amazed how short of a time it took her. You also get two pictures one facing each way. It was a great investment!

I've had them done a couple times of our kids. The first time was of the two of them together, and the 2nd time with a Character. DD has Tink in hers and ds has Mickey. They are very affordable and very quick! You get two pictures for the under $10 price. (They are a mirror image of each other. ) You can have up to 3 or 4 people in the picture. They do charge a bit more for extra people or characters but it's not much. They have some neat samples of multi generation ones on the wall in there. Very cute!

The shop is on the right hand side if you are walking from town square toward the castle. Its right by the "front porch" and the crystal shop. Its a little tiny spot along there, with a door that opens on to the sidewalk.

I highly recomend it!

I was just explaining this to DH the other night. My mom had them done of my sis and I when we were younger and I want to get them done of my DS's. They are soo cool! I can't believe after all these years the price is still really great.

I love these....I still have the one of me and my mom when I was about 8 years old....now I just need to get them of my children.

Hard to believe it only took about 1-2 minutes for them to cut those out, they are amazing with those tiny little scissors!!!

This is my all-time favorite souvenier as well. I've gotten one of my kids both times we went and both times we had the lady that's been there since the 70s. She is great.

Last time, my younger two were sleeping in the double stroller and she came out to the sidewalk and did it right there (they both had their heads to one side in the same direction.

My kids all look SO much alike that they end up looking like different sized triplets (with different hair and ages) in the pics, LOL.

Thanks for posting the pictures and the location!

Those are so cute. I can't wait to get one of my DS!!

Just curious to a few on here that visit WDW, I have only been to DL my whole life. Do they not do these in WDW?
