Souvenier I remember most...

Those pictures are great. Thanks for sharing. I always wanted my kids to do one but was afraid ds3 would not stay still. Glad to hear other kids did. We might try it this spring.

I haven't been to WDW in years but I think they did them there. I know they also did other portrait type drawings in France I think.

a friend at work's son's had them done as kids together and the brothers went back in their 20's and had a new one done for her as a mother's day gift ..........she has them side by side . Ok guess what I need to get done next trip!

How many people can they fit in one picture? I have three kids and would like them all together.

I have seen three kids in one before, and I would like to do one myself soon.
I think the most I have seen is three, 4 would be kinda cramped to me but maybe they do it.

Just curious to a few on here that visit WDW, I have only been to DL my whole life. Do they not do these in WDW?

Andrea

Yes, they do them at WDW as well.

We got my daughter's at WDW on her first visit and my son's at DL on his first visit.

As of Spring 2005 they still had the frames with the gold detail at DL. My WDW frame is plain.

The one I got almost two years ago had all three kids and Mickey. Your kids don't even really need to sit still for more than a few seconds.

I had one done of my family (me, DH, 2 kids) and it fit fine on there.

My FAVORITE one was done of me, my daughter, my mom and my grandma. Four generations... I LOVE that one, it's my favorite thing I've ever bought at Disneyland. :)

Here is my and DD#1 with the plain black frame:

They are really beautiful. That is now on the top of my list.

Thank you so much, that is so sweet! It really is a great keepsake that I am sure you will enjoy for years to come!!

WOW! I just love those pictures. This is a MUST HAVE when we go! And I hadn't thought about the 3 kids together-great idea.
thanks for sharing :goodvibes

Were the frames from there or bought at home? If from DL do remember about how much they were?
thanks

The souvenirs that I most love were both bought for me by my daughter. One from when she was about 10, and one when she was 24.

They are both Pooh bears, and the one when she was 10 was when we were sitting on Main Street, on our last night at DL. Out of the blue, she hands me this stuffed Pooh and I started to BAWL! It was such a surprise for her to buy ME something at DL, since I'd been spoiling her and her brother rotten all week. It was so touching and I'll never forget it.

The 2nd one was last May. We were leaving DL, and I always cry when we leave. In the car, on the way to the airport, she hands me another Pooh! Talk about waterworks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The frames from the silouettes we did were bought at DL, in the shop where they do the photo. They are so reasonable too, I think it was $14.95 and that includes the frame...if I'm not mistaken. It was very reasonable, I do remember that part! : )

I am definetely going to have to do these with my two children!!! I remember my mother had one done of me when I was younger. I am so excited!!! :woohoo:

I love the silhouette pics. I have two of my son and one of my husband. I am not sure why I don't have one of myself. I am going to get another one done of my son this year. Those women are very talented.

This is something I'm definately doing when we go next month!!

Do you know if they'll hold on to it for you to pick up on the way out of the park for the day? If not, I'm thinking we'll do this later in the day before going back to the hotel for the night. I wouldn't want to carry it around all day and risk getting it lost or wrecked.

Thanks for the info. :)

I would agree that was the best thing we bought at DL. We will also do it again this year when we go. Totally amazing watching them cut the pics out free hand and the profile is to a tee. What a great bargain also.

We would like to do the character chalk drawings of our kids this trip. If I remember correctly they are around Pirates. Does anyone know how much this costs or how long it takes?

we found these at downtown disney...they really are talented people that do these! i can't imagine! it's funny that these were brought up now, cuz we went to WDW in oct...and i just got around to showing one of my friends some of our souvies last friday. The silhouttes are what got the most attention! Not sure if it was mentioned or not, but in WDW, you get 3 copies of the pic...makes a great souvie for us, and a perfect gift for both sets of grandparents! the guy who does it at DTD also writes the kids names under each child...we have 3...he writes it all fancy-like...and it looks great!
