I am waiting for Southwest to open their schedule a little further, but I have a question. I went on their website and looked at what flights are going for. There were four tickets to choose from. i have never booked a flight before and I haven't flown in 11 years (when I was 16). You could choose a resrticted, refundable, advanced purchase, or promotional ticket. it also tells you the differences but it still doesn't make much sense to me. Anyone have any insight for me. We will be leavng Feb 12th and coming home Feb 17th.

First of all, download the DING program from their website, it will let you know of last minute sales... there is a time specification for booking but I found a very good deal with them. As for the other kinds of tickets, I don't know... but one rule of thumb is that once I book, never cancel. And, I've never had a problem going with the cheapest.
