If we get to the airport 2 hours early, is there a good chance we will get A boarding passes since there is now online check in. We have the 1st flight out of BUF on the day we are leaving to go to WDW, and would like to get "A" boarding passes, or will it be easier calling SWA to have our reservations put onto separate reservations in order to do it online. TYIA

My experience last week...I was able to get separate numbers, very easy, for my husband and myself not for my kids (had to prove their age)...I woke up during the night (12:30) and printed boarding passes, got As...got to Prov. 2 hours early, curbside check-in, kids got Bs.

From Orlando...got there two hours early...curbside check-in...we all got Cs!!

I would do online check-in!

why did you have to prove your children's ages? That is odd.

Gail - We flew down during our April vacation, therefore we had to pay full fare. I was able to get the youth fare for the kids. When I called for separate numbers, SW said I could not get a boarding pass on line for the kids, because I would have to prove their age at check-in.

I thought you could only get your boarding pass online if you were not checking any bags. I was only able to get an A boarding pass last year on the way home from Disney, and only because I was there two and a half hours early when I checked in. :cloud

I did last week. I checked two bags at curbside. All I showed to the skycap was my license.

I just called and had my ressies changed to have different numbers to be able to take advantage of online checkin. The SW representative was really nice and happy to do it for me. Thanks for all who responded.

I was still up at MN on 4/17 so checked in on line and got Group A (I'd called and gotten separate reservation #'s a few weeks earlier, after reading about it on this board).
We checked in 2 hours and 15 minutes early in Orlando today and got Group B.

Ah, now that makes sense. Thanks. Bummer about the full fare.

hi sweetheart
looks like we are from the same town!!

we always arrive 2 hours early to buffalo airport & have never had a problem with getting A passes- i print my boarding passes on line then when we get to the airport we check in right outside with the baggage claim- they print out what we need then we are off to the security check -after this we....

wait and wait and wait:rolleyes: for the plane (always too early)
my husband says we get there too early but i rather be early then risk not sitting together with the kids on the plane

have a great trip

:sunny:

We are like you and also always arrive at BUF at least 2 hours early but with the new online checkin I was worried an A would not be possible.(there are 10 of us going in all and would like to be somewhat close to each other, 3 of them are kids over the age of 5) I am usually too anxious to be sitting at home watching the time, I would rather be doing it at the airport, too excited i guess.

I have called twice to confirm it is ok to print my boarding pass online and then check luggage at the airport. At first the rep kept trying to tell me that it didn't make sense to do it this way. I then explained to her the whole point of doing it was to get an A boarding pass. She finally seemed to understand the point.

Some airlines have (or had) the policy of no on-line check in if you have bags to check, but SW doesn't. We printed our boarding passes just after midnight and checked one bag with the SkyCap when we got to the airport.
