Historically when are December flights posted??

I am not familiar with South west other than they try to have good prices. Do they arrive on time, are they known for bumping times, any lost luggage issues??? we are really only familiar with Frontier, for us it will be hard to beat their service.

According to their website:

On June 28, we plan to open the schedule for purchase through January 16, 2008. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

Hope that helps. It seems to me that they are releasing dates further out earlier than years before. :)

We fly Southwest almost exclusively and have never had a problem with lost luggage or late flights. Just make sure you check in 24 hours in advance and get an "A' boarding pass to insure choice of good seats.

what do you mean you get an "A" boarding pass?? Do you select seats when you purchase your tickets???

Southwest does not allow you to pick your seats. Boarding is done by the letter found on your boarding pass. Southwest assigns "A', "B' and "C" boarding passses. The earlier you check in, the lower letter boarding pass you get. Once your at the gate, you will find 4 lines, "Pre-Boarding", "A", "B", and "C."

Once your line is allowed to board you find a seat when you get on the plane. Obviously the earlier you board, the better chance you have of getting a seat you like or several seats together.

Southwest has been doing this forever and have really streamlined it. Because of this method, they have one of the best on-time records in the business.

Hope that answers your question. :)

Perhaps they'll price them very high again for intial offering & we can wait until they drop after we get home...hmmm.?

Not to rub salt in the wound.;) But, Southwest has different levels of pricing offered all at once. With the exception or sales or dings, they offer low prices initially and they tend to go fast. I wouldn't fret too much, Southwest offers a lot of sales and you can usually get a pretty good fair. Good luck!
