Has anyone had any issues with booking flights through Southwest with the wanna get away prices. Right now my flight is $79 down and $69 back. Should I book knowing that I can't get a refund? Please HELP!!!!

You can't get a cash refund but you can get full credit which is better than most airlines. I've had no issues with Southwest ever and I fly them about 6 RT flights per year.

Our flights are Wanna Get Away. I decided that if something happened, the credit would be fine. Plus, they were over $400 cheaper per ticket than then next cheapest airline.

Thanks! I just booked for 338.80 roundtrip for 2 of us. That is $100 less than what I had been getting prices for under the wanna get away prices and hundreds less than the other options. I hope everything goes well now that it is booked.

I was worried about it saying no refund. However my friends here at the Dis have let me know I would get a credit if say prices go down and I rebook.

My mother is leaving in mid August to go see my sister for a week and my sister has requested that my mother bring her some local sweet corn but we aren't sure if that's allowed, is it? Mom was thinking of bringing a dozen or so ears and wrapping them in seal a meal bags so they are packaged and can't leak..does anyone know the rules about this? TIA!

I always bring fresh florida oranges back in my carry on and checked bags with out a problem.

OMG i meant to start a new thread..can you tell I'm having an off day? my apologizes, i will remove my post and start a new thread

So excited!!! So I just checked my flights this morning and the price had dropped to $49 down and back home. I immediately canceled or old reservation and booked at the new lower price. I booked for 238.80 and now have a $100 credit for our next flights. I just so happy right now!!!!

Very awesome for you! But you could've just "changed" your reservation rather than cancel and re-book. Next time!

Thank you! I didn't know that. It worked out though b/c I wanted to change my returning flight to a later time.

It doesn't matter. Next time go to Change Reservation and you can make changes to flights, days, etc without getting a new confirmation code. This comes in handy if you purchased EBCI because it is nonrefundable and you cannot transfer it to another confirmation number.

I am so glad you posted I check my flight and saved $20:woohoo: Not much, but I will take it. :)

You did not need to cancel the flight and rebook. You simply click on Change Reservation and select the new flights. That way you don't run the risk of the flight being full from someone else booking at the same time. Sounds like everything went fine anyways for you.

The credit is good for 1 year from date of original booking, not the date of your flight. if you fail to use the credit by that date you will lose the credit. After Jan. 28th 2011 the credit can only be applied towards a flight for the same passenger as originally booked. Until then the credit can be used by anyone you choose.
