Hi again twinscandc! How neat that you're staying at BWV in May! I love it there!! The location is awesome and I really enjoy the whole Boardwalk experience. Good restaurants right there, the Boardwalk Bakery (yum!), the surrey bikes, street performers sometimes, the boats, the "clown pool", etc. Truly a great place to stay. I hope you enjoy it as much as I always have.
ATA Update: Came home from work today and had 2 messages from ATA asking me to call them. (Oh no, not again...

) So back to sitting on hold waiting for them to take my call. 30 min. wait this time. Well, we were not lucky enough to keep our last itinerary with the good times. Should have known. Now our itinerary has us with a 5:20 AM departure out of Flint.

5:20 AM?? That means leaving the house by about 3:00 in the morning.

I asked if there was anything later. She said yes there's one seat left on the 8:40 AM flight, but I see that there are 3 of you traveling. I said, "Hey, that 8:40 flight is the one we were booked on in the first place last September. Why did we get bumped off that one and jerked all over the place while other people got put on it?" She didn't know.
Gotta look on the bright side. (1)Earlier departure means earlier arrival in Orlando.

(2)We do still have seats on planes going where we want to go on the day we want to go. (3)Since itinerary changes are getting to be practically a daily occurrence, maybe tomorrow will bring a better set of times.

(4)Hey, we're going to Disney World!!!
Enough of that for tonight. Sorry for the ramble; helps to vent a bit.
Twinscandc, I didn't know that the Winona Hotel was ever a dorm. Both my sisters had their wedding receptions there back in the 80s. Then I kinda lost track until a few years ago when I saw that it had fallen into total disrepair. Now they are fixing it up. I was just there over Christmas, and it's looking beautiful again. They also built a waterfront restaurant called The Boathouse very close to the hotel. I've been there a few times and it is great. People come from all over the place to eat there.
Have fun planning your trip to BWV.
