We are flying Southwest for the first time this Aug/Sep for our WDW/DCL vacation. This will be our first cruise with Disney and it says they recommend you book your flight from MCO after 12pm on debarkation day. I have read some book earlier and they get to MCO in plenty of time. We have a booked flight leaving MCO at 1:15pm and arriving at RDU at 5:15pm but we would love the flight from MCO leaving at 9am getting into RDU at 10:40am. Is it possible to change our flight (if seats are available) if we get to MCO in time to catch that early flight at 9am? We will be on DCL transfers. I know it is highly unlikely to make it but just in case we do.

very little chance you will be at MCO that early as you will have about an hour ride from boat to MCO and the boat had to clear customs before leaving for MCO. my guess you might make airport by 11 but not much earlier

Thank you. As this is our first cruise I did not know how long it takes to get off, ride, etc.

It would be possible to change to the earlier flight if there are seats available but you would have to pay any difference in the fare.

unlike leaving Disney it takes longer to leave boat as everyone is leaving at same time plus as I said it takes awhile to clear customs and leave ship. there is an order to leaving you do not just get to up and walk off boat
