It's March 4 for travel through November 1. There's no set time of day but it's usually in the morning.

Yes March 4th. There is no set time, but has been fairly early recently. About 5-5:30 am CST. I have booked the last few times and remember as my husband leaves for work at 5:30 and I was already online. Since there is not actually a set time so it can be later, but can't hurt to check earlier.

Southwest has updated the next release info in its Travel Tools section:

We are currently accepting air reservations through November 1, 2013. On May 6, 2013, we will open our schedule for sale through January 5, 2014. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

I don't think I can swing getting up (or staying up) to check ~3 a.m. my time. Hopefully the fare doesn't really change during the initial hours of release.

I haven't found it to change all that much during the initial hours but we don't fly that many routes so I only can go by our more regular trips. It can change a fair amount within a few hours though.

This last time I forgot to set my alarm and didn't wake up until after 6 am and the flights were already on sale. I was nervous because I had been on much earlier previously. The fare was acceptable to me and I booked right away. For our specific flight the price hasn't been lower yet, but it has been for other flights/times on the same day.

So happy to see they extended it to Jan, 5th/Now I will be able to see prices for my return date as well

Ugh. My Dec dates are released today and SW has NO WANNA Get Away fares for the Sat. before Xmas. So I'm looking at $553 one way!! I'm not familiar with SW fare schedules; is there a chance that it'll add Wanna Get Away fares later? Or does this mean they think it'll be such a popular date that it just doesn't need to offer the discounted rate?
