southwest refund policy

I just checked the website and our flights have gone down in price. I know i have read that southwest will give you the new price. Has anyone done that and if you have how does that work?? Can i call for the group of us traveling or does each person have to call?

You have to do each confirmation by itself, you can do it online yourself, just check the box of the flight you want to change.
Even though you really aren't changing the flight you still check the box of the flight you are trying to get the new price.
It will then let you pick the flight at the new price.

Then the person with that confirmation number will have the credit to use for another flight from a year out from when you booked it originally.

There are 4 of us going 2 conffirmation numbers, so whonwould get the credit? Im new to this lol

Each person will have a credit under their name. It used to be anyone could use a credit. Some time back SW changed that rule so only the person whose name is on the ticket can use a credit. It is good for 1 year from the time of original booking. Meaning all travel with those funds must be completed by that time.
