Just curious..are you flying on a holiday, for the tickets to be $400 each round trip (.15 X $400 = $60 X 7=$420)? Southwest has been running a $99 each way sale off and on for weeks. I wonder if you can do better if you re-book the entire flight. I just booked 2 of us, round trip for $326 total from upstate NY..$400 seems high for each ticket on Southwest from CT. Would love to see if you could save even more.

Looking at the fares at SW started about 25$ less per ticket, than the other sites i was looking at (travelocity), and then i saved another 35$ on 2 tix on top of that. WOW! at these prices that adds up to another one way trip.

I did read that..but I'm still curious if you had rechecked the airfare price. I think $400 each round trip from CT can be beat..even on the same airline...unless.... are you traveling at a time that only the full price seats are available or a holiday? I see by your sig, you are going in August. It's great you save the $420, and I'd certainly take that..but if you can play at all with your ressie, you may save another 1/2 your fair depending on days you can fly.

I put in 7 seats August 12-19 and got (without the 15% off..so it would be even less)) $1200. That's only $172 a person, compared to your $400 each. You could almost go back another time for the savings, if you can work with those dates (or similar). Of course it may not be possible for you. Just hoping to save you some money. The best part about SW, is if you cancel and rebook, they "bank" your leftover money for a year!

Rick, you are correct. I just got reservations for Labor Day returning a week later for 147.81 each (total). That was with the 15% discount.

Rick - The $60 per ticket savings could be a combination of lower available airfares and the discount so the ticket doesn't necessarily need to be $400 to save $60.

Of course..it could be any reason, except this thread was about the 15%...so I assume that was what she was talking about..I've been wrong before..but I did specifically ask (at least I think I did) if that was the saving with the 15% and she came back and said yes & X $60..I'm too lazy to go look at just what I asked here : )

..if not, nothing lost. I'm hoping she comes back and reads it and checks her airfare prices.

I paid 148.00 per ticket from Hartford to Orlando. The day before I used the code, I was quoted a price of 207.00 for same flight.
My savings was tremendous - thank you very much.

The 15% savings and the change in airfare from 97 to 79 is what caused the savings. They did that "tricky" change the airfare Thursday early am thing. I was all set to pay the extra money
(80.00) to switch from Providence to Orlando, got the original cancelled, had the new info in and it came back with "that fare is no longer valid, please, try again". So, I plugged in all the info again and it came back 10.50 less than the original reservation. I just sat there, at 3 am and smiled and chuckled. Talk about luck!!!!!

In reality, you saved approx. 28.5%. That should make you REALLY happy!!!
