We have never flown Southwest, but I have been looking at it more lately. We would have to drive 2 hours to get to the best airport to fly with them, but we have family in that ciyt, so it might work out well.
Anyways, they seem to have some good deals. But I hear people talk about the ding thing. I downloaded it a few years ago, and then unistalled it because I couldn't understand how to use it.
So how do you use it?

Also when will SW release Dec dates?

When you install DING, it will ask you to select 1 or more airports that you are interested in getting deals for. Select the airport you would fly from. Then it will notify you with a "ding" sound whenever a deal is available. Depending on the system you are running on your computer, a small icon that looks like the tail rudder of a Southwest plane will be on your system tray; if a deal is available, a small envelope icon will appear over the tail rudder in addition to the "ding" sound. Click on the icon and a window will open to display a link that tells you how long the sale is on and leads you to the booking page. From there you enter your dates and the fare options page will load, but instead of the usual 3 fare categories, there will be 4 categories to include DING fares, where available.

Thanks. So ding can give youe deals that you wouldn't find anywhere else then?

Yes
Generally speaking, Tuesdays and wed were the more available Ding days, but I have seen much more this year. The little ICON on the bottom of your computer will have an airplane wing and a little white envelope when they have a DING for you. You can only get DING fares thru that LINK.

By the way, I have an extra 25 off a r/t if you'd like it, I think I can pass it to you. The blackout days are very limited, and many others have used it. You can pm me!

Thanks everyone. I want to go in Dec...just hoping for a great deal form Disney, and possibly a good airfare as well. And a DH who will finally say yes helps. LOL! He keeps saying wait and see, but I hate waiting. :rotfl:

Hi,
Do you still have your extra code. I will probably get mine a day late. Thanks.

Not booking anything yet, but sure I'll take the code if you have no one else to give it to. Does the code take $25 off each person or the total? Can you use more than one code if it only takes it off for 1 person?
