I see that Southwest is currently featuring a sale for most of its cities. I checked and the prices that they are advertising for MCO are lower than what I recently paid for tickets for our upcoming August and October vacations. How do you rebook to get the cheaper rate? Do you have to call or do you do it online?

You can change your flight online. On the SW page go to "view or change your flight" then enter confirmation number and choose new flight or same flight but at lower price. It's very easy.

Go to Southwest.com CLick on the "Travel Tools" link then click to "Change Air Reservation"

Save that Confirmation # and you will have credit to use for a future flight but you must use that credit within 1 year of the date you first purchased the tickets.

You can sometimes get that date extended but that's a whole different question.

Also another thing about the credit, it can be used by anyone, it does not have to be used by the person that originally bought the tickets.
