Has anybody had this happen?

I booked online in April. Last night, the fare went down, so I attempted to retrieve the reservation to change it.

It would not allow me to access it--said I had to call because of something in the ticket that prevented me from changing it online. When I did call, the agent could not tell me why I couldn't change it online. She asked if I'd booked on the phone (I had not), but couldn't figure out the problem.

I am able to see the reservation when I enter the confirmation number and my name, so it's there, paid in full, and all that good stuff.

So my concern is this--as I'm paranoid--will I have problems logging in online 24 hours in advance? It's important that we're at least somewhat together on the plane because of my kids, and I'm always diligent about getting A passes for just that reason.

I have not had that happen. BUT why not give ANOTHER call to SW, another agent maybe can help you better understand?? Ask about your concern with check in!

I had the same problem when my airfare when down and I tried to change my flight. I had to call to get the refund credit. The agent assured me that we wouldn't have any problems checking in online-I was worried about it too. Must be a glitch in their system or something.

This happened to me once when I tried to rebook because the airfare went down. In my case it was because I was trying to rebook a SENIOR FARE and it said that I have to call to make the change.
