Hi we are a family of 11 we will be going to Disney in December . I am using Octobers prices as the Dec prices aren't out yet and getting scarred . Prices are way up from when we looked in Feb . Where can I find a discount code ? Flying out of Pittsburgh. tia

It's rare to see any promos from SW these days. The only thing I can think of is to sign up for the SWA credit card. They offer 25,000-50,000 bonus pts but you wouldn't get them until you spend a certain amount and your statement closes.
If you're looking at peak holiday dates, you will want to be ready to book next week when they release those dates.
You won't be able to book 11 people in 1 transaction but it may qualify for group rates. I'm not sure the exact # needed. We had 19 in our group once and the group rates were much higher than if we booked online.

I got the SWA card on an offer of 50,000 points if i charge $2,000 in the first couple months. Easy for us since we used it to pay for our trip to Disney. If that is not an option for you, all airlines release their discounted tickets every Tuesday. Sometimes you won't see the cheaper flights until Tuesday afternoon but definitly keep tabs on the SW site every Tuesday and you will get the best deal possible. Also, travel between Tuesday-Thursday always have the cheapest fares. It's also said if you wait until two months before you go, you can get a good fare that way too (but always on a Tuesday!)

How far are you from Washington DC.
Frontier is having a huge sale from Washington DC to a select few places and Orlando is one of the places for $49 fares.

We're flying to Denver over Christmas/New Year, so I'm waiting for prices to come out Monday.

DH and I both got a SW credit card the summer of 2011. The promo then was for 50,000 with your first purchase (no dollar limit). I bought a Skinny Cow candy bar and he used his to pay for prescriptions at the pharmacy. This will be our third trip to Colorado and we are still using our points. I'm not sure if they will ever go back to the first purchase promo with no dollar limit for the points, but it would be great if they did!

What I've learned booking with them is to ALWAYS book my flights separately. That way if the price/points drop one way and not the other, I can easily switch to the lower price. Also, the really early flights or really late flights seem to be the cheapest (at least for us). We've done the first flight of the day and the last flight of the day for the cheaper rates.
Also, keep checking even after you book. I was able to go from paying 10,000 points to 6500 points (one way) just by checking daily.

Good Luck Monday!

If you do mycokerewards, right now they have a code for $20 off of a round trip. It's good for up to eight people ($10 off each way per person). It does cost 100 points for the code. I don't believe that this one covers through December, but they have them fairly often (or at least I've gotten them three years in a row).

Wow!! Thank you.

Airfare cost is difficult to reduce. We also fly out of Pittsburgh and got the SW card with the bonus points. SW just doesn't offer the deals it used to anywhere really from Pittsburgh.

Also BWI has decent fares with SW and many nonstops to MCO. It's a 2-hr drive for us but I'd do it to save several hundred $$. It's still easier than driving 20 hrs.
