Ok...so I have seen it asked, but no answer.....can you use a southwest gift card to buy these? I went through the process and at the end it gives an option for gift card, but I don't have a southwest number to try it, as it was a generic gift cad box. I was hoping to buy discounted gift cards to save a bit more!
If there is an option for a gift card on the payment site, it would seem logical to apply a gift card amount. Gonna try it? For the sake of the thread?? ;)

I didn't check your specific numbers or math, but you have the right plan.
Thank you again. Given that I am heading there on November 1 - do I have to plug that date in for those six day passes when I buy from Southwest or does it matter what dates I use. I saw a reference to "default dates" but I didn't see that specific post. oh and this is going to save us $332 for the four of us for annual passes. Which is amazing.

It is suggested to use the default populated dates just because they are within 60 days from now and thus you get your code for MDE right away (the following morning after ordering).

Thank you (but what i missed is what is the default date?) I was fussing on the website and plugged in November 1 which is actually when I fly down next week and now that is what pops up when I reload the page. Even cleared the cache and it still came back up. agghhh.

Just use those dates. You're fine as you're within 60 days.

thanks again. I realized that after I posted my message that if it lets me plug in Nov. 1, I should be getting the voucher numbers very quickly - which is good! This is such a seems too good to be true thing that I have gotten inside my head about it all.

No I don't think so. Southwest and southwest vacations are actually 2 different entities I'm pretty sure and here are the conditions for redeeming a southwest gift card.

ok just went through the whole thread to make sure I wasn't missing anything and have one more question. Given that I am upgrading these to annual passes next week, I'm assuming it's best that i DON'T connect to MDE right away - until I make that transaction to renew our annual passes so there isn't any confusion among the old annual passes and six day hoppers and the upcoming renewal of the dvc annual passes.

Because you have to go to a Ticket Window or Guest Relations to renew your AP, just take your Confirmation info for these tickets and everything will be processed by the CM.

If you are afraid of losing any paperwork, you can link the tickets to MDE before your trip. The CM can pull the digital info from your MDE account. Then, the new APs will be linked to your profiles in MDE.

So, in regards to using gc's to buy the tickets at Southwest Vacations, wondering if you could do the following. Use your redcard at Target, and buy a Visa (prepaid?) gift card getting a 5% discount by paying with the redcard, and then use that to buy the tickets at southwest vacations. I have never bought a visa gc but wondering if that would work to get a little more discount, or do you not get the 5% discount when purchasing the visa gc's at Target with your redcard? Or, does the website take paypal, where, if you have it, you could use paypal credit with the no interest for six months, so you could pay over those few months. Not really sure if these things would work, just thinking, lol.

I've got 2 college boys arriving WDW before I arrive. I'm planning on buying the 6 day pass. They will likely use 4 days of the pass before I meet up with them. Can I still upgrade them to a DVC AP pass with 2 days left? What if I have weather related problems and arrive a day later. Then there will be 1 day left. Can I still upgrade before they use up the last day?

So, I didn't read all of this, and sorry if this comes off as sounding lazy. Here's my situation:

Going to DW Jan. 23rd and coming back the 29th. I booked all of the Disney stuff with AAA and got the plane tickets on my own. We have the stay, play, and dine package, no park hopper. We are flying with SouthWest. We booked those tickets before I found out about this promotion. My question is, is it worth it for me to contact SouthWest, Disney, or AAA to figure out if there's some saving alone the way? Every little bit would help with this. I just feel that My final prices are going to be final. Or should I call SouthWest soon and figure out if they can help at all.

We are paying everything with the same credit card, so maybe that would make things easier.........

I don't know where my question went - but I am thinking of buying these tickets for our upcoming trip, but I plan to upgrade to an AP RENEWAL?! Is that okay? My DD has an AP that expires in January 2017 and we are going December, so if I buy this ticket for $368 - that will compute to a $451.56 WDW 6 day PH. A renewal is 676.28, so I will be responsible for the difference? I have never bought a ticket with the idea to use it for a renewal, so I wanted to be sure. @Robo @hiroMYhero

Thank you!!

You don't get the 5% off of visa GC with the target red card
