Southwest Park Ticket Offer

If you do that, you can't bridge the tickets at the current Disney price. The tickets have to be used one day before you can bridge them.

It's not that big of a deal: when this happens to me, I just save our MK days at the end of the trip for booking the remaining FP+. When we use the tickets the first time, and then upgrade, then I make the rest of the FP.

Usually there is lots left even a few days before (maybe not 7DMT so do that early in your trip).
@Eastern ~ tickets do not need to be used before upgrading. Bridging and upgrading can be done prior to entering a park.

I believe the PP's son will have to be the one purchasing the tickets so that his name matches up to the Voucher and Confirmation paperwork.

You can always save the 2-day tickets for another trip if you need the free dining package. With free dining, you do pay regular room rates.

Thanks for the reply. I am leaning towards getting the Southwest tickets and watching for a Room discount. Think that's going to be the easiest way to go - and probably the cheapest!

I believe so, too! Paying out of pocket for meals will also add to your savings. :)

I am so glad you guys know these things. I have never upgraded a ticket before, so this is all new to me. So, as long as I use my DS's name when purchasing the tickets, he would be able to pick all of them up and upgrade before we use them? Even though we have visited WDW quite a few times, whenever I am doing something new, I am a nervous Nelly! I am not even sure he will be able to do this when he visits, but I thought if he could it would make things a bit easier if we upgraded before we arrive.

I just emailed them asking if they price match.
They then told me I needed to link them the Southwest sale and they would compare their 5 day price of $408 to the sale. The Southwest sale has the 5 day Park Hopper for $368, since I
bought two sets of tickets they refunded me $80.
Thanks! So if I bought the 4 day with 3 days free( 7 day ticket) and southwest isnt selling that, do you think they'd do any sort of price match?

You should also use his credit card info to help with the verification process. @Robo has addressed this earlier in the thread. But whoever picks them up early should be the same person who purchased them.

My daughter has an AP that expires in January 2017. We have a trip planned for December. If I buy one of these discounted tickets, can I use it to renew her AP??

I bought a Parksavers 7 day ticket and plan to upgrade to an AP for myself, but I am unsure about upgrading for a renewal, and what amount that would save in the end? Thanks!

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that you could bridge/upgrade unused tickets and still get the current Disney price; you no longer have to use them first to get full value.

Correct.
You do not have to use a ticket before upgrading to get the bridged price.

Been reading this thread and curious about 3 things. We have DVC discounted APs. Here are my questions.
1. Can I buy these tickets and then renew using the value of these tickets?
2. what is the actual full value of these tickets as in the ones I should buy to do my renewal for greatest savings.
3. If I do this, do I have to execute the renewal onsite or can I do through DVC member services?

1. Yes.

2. Look up the NEW CURRENT prices from Disney for these same kind of tickets.
(Ignore any "free days." If you get -for instance- "a 6 day Hopper for the price of 3," then it is just a regular 6-day Hopper ticket in value.)
That will be the value you'll receive in the upgrade.
HERE are the current Disney ticket prices.

If I buy the SW 4 day PH will I be able to add the WPF&M option for $26 when we get on property? My son wants to go to Disney Quest in December but I don't want to buy it in case it is closed as we won't be interested in the other options.

You may have missed @Robo's post and all Disney tickets can be upgraded:
The overall confusion about these "ticket reseller" threads is that many are losing sight of the fact that:

Southwest Travel does not sell "Southwest Travel tickets to Disney World." They sell actual Disney World tickets.
Parksavers does not sell "Parksavers tickets to Disney World." They sell actual Disney World tickets.
Undercover Tourist does not sell "Undercover Tourist tickets to Disney World." They sell actual Disney World tickets.
And so forth.

So, whatever rules govern Disney World tickets, also govern the tickets that the resellers offer.

Disney sells the resellers actual Disney World tickets (or the "credentials" of those tickets, anyway) and the resellers
can decide how much they can charge for those tickets and still make a profit for themselves.

Same tickets. Different prices.

I did see it and I consider myself to be a Disney pro most of the time I just could not for the life of me remember if you could add on the WPF&M option later and wanted to double check. I know you can add on days and the PH option I just wanted to assure myself this was the case.

Thanks!

Yes.

You can RENEW your AP using the FULL WDW value of these tickets.
That's great. Would this have to be done at WDW or can it be done over the phone? I don't have a trip planned during my renewal window.

I've read the thread and I feel like there's some conflicting information, especially regarding the ease of the linking of the tickets to MDE.

Can someone please clarify for me? I'm nervous to bite the bullet and buy the tickets b/c I feel like I'm missing some small print and/or exclusions.

1. These tickets can be linked to MDE before I get to WDW and I can book advance FP with them?
2. When I buy them, is it okay to put in the actual dates of my travel in March 2017, or should I leave the default dates?
3. These tickets will not expire before April 2017?
4. Is there any small print that I'm missing??

Thanks in advance everyone!!

1. yes
2. yes but they won't send the ticket numbers until 65 (I think) days prior to your trip
3. they will not expire until 14 days after you use the first day
4. no

Considering I, as well as Robo, have read every post in this thread, it's misleading to state there is conflicting info.

Not one person has said they haven't been able to link their ticket confirmation numbers.

1. Yes
2. Use the default dates as that has been reported by many people.
3. This has been stated a number of times.
4. I'm not sure what small print you could be missing. :)

Ok...so I have seen it asked, but no answer.....can you use a southwest gift card to buy these? I went through the process and at the end it gives an option for gift card, but I don't have a southwest number to try it, as it was a generic gift cad box. I was hoping to buy discounted gift cards to save a bit more!

Thank you so much. Here is my situation: I'm going to WDW on a quick solo trip next week. Our annual passes can be renewed any time so I want to make this work when I am there so that we are set for our Christmas trip.
I have read this entire thread and think I get what I have to do, so can you correct me if I'm wrong, please?

1. I buy four six day hoppers at a total price of $368 each
2. I receive voucher numbers from Southwest straight away (Do I have to designate a date?- I didn't quite understand the talk about that on this thread)
3. I take those vouchers, my DVC card and ID to a ticket window/guest services and say I want to turn these six day hoppers into a renewed DVC annual pass.
4. They give me $451 and change in credit for each of the four tickets (saving me 84-ish dollars on each annual pass) I pay the balance due for the annual passes.
5. We have annual passes for about the price they were before last year's big increase.

Did I get it right? Thanks in advance!
