Southwest open to 12-10-06

I booked ISP (Long Island) - MCO 11/4 -11/8 Roundtrip $534.00 for 2 people. I'm crossing my fingers for some dings.

Should I have booked 2 one way tickets? Oh, now I'm stressing!
Good luck everyone!

UGGGG!!! This is making me crazy!! I need December 16th for our flight out. :surfweb: Now how much longer will I have to wait for the next window??!! :confused3 I will have to keep on top of this like a hawk again until they extend the dates. Im going CRAZY!!! :badpc: :badpc:

I just booked my 2 free tickets, but still need one more. I'm waiting for the fares to drop a little. We are flying Thur to Tue so hopefully, it will come down to atleast $150 rT.

i got Phl-Mco x 4 for $357.20 hurray = $89.3 for 1 way :thumbsup2

now i got to wait for the next set of dates to get my return flight 12-12-06 :surfweb:

could use a nice ding to have a credit for my return flight :worship:

Well, I know this probably isn't the cheapest, but I got Chicago to Orlando at $129 each way. We're traveling Sat -Fri. If something cheaper does come up, how does it work? What would I do? I haven't flown in 6 years! I'm new to all this again.

Now it feels "official" since the air is booked   Still, coming home 12/9 didn't have the best fares, but took an earlier flight. Time to start watching the dings now!!

Just booked our Veteran's Day long weekend to Orlando - had a $100. credit, so this was great. Since we are leaving midweek and returning at the beginning of the following week, I am hoping for some Dings before then. I have never been near a computer before when they opened up dates- love this summer vacation!!

Hi
Logged on just as the date was extended. Got Nov 4- 11 at a good price but Times around Thanksgiving were unavailable from the get-go. :confused3 :guilty:

hi ,
just booked PVD to MCO November 19th-27th for 3 of us 1000.80 RT I know it's a bit high but I just wanted to get flights and I am hoping for Dings!Good Luck all!

Just booked 11/9 -11/13 MHT to MCO 215.60 pp and 12/1-12/5 same price but had ticketless travel from this August fare going down so for DH and I in December cost me 7.20!

I am happy

going to Universal for 5 days during NJ week. Flying from Philadelphia so alot of NJ travellers.

Got 183 round trip and had a credit with SW already so paid
$522 for the three of us.

US Air wants $444 a person for this at the moment.

Since you asked this question after you booked, consider yourself lucky that it's on Southwest! :)
If you find a lower fare (you have to actively look for it-- Southwest won't call you), you can rebook at the lower fare and get a credit for the difference. The credit has to be used within 1 year of the date you booked.

I'm using a credit this year, but it doesn't feel like I am since the STL-MCO fares are once again horrendously expensive-- about $320 roundtrip.

I'm with blessedby3 - we need it starting December 16th. I guess I'll have to keep watching ... :surfweb:

maria here. you rented from me for dec did you get the airfare to come back on the 10th? you just made the cut off

I booked one way MCO-PHL at $140.00 per person for return leg on Sat 11/11. I had already gotten PHL-MCO on Airtran at $99 on a sale for Fri 11/3.
Because of Sat return and it being Jersey Week I was anxious to get a good time. Now I guess I'll wait for DINGS. If there had been the cheap $99 internet special for the return, I would've been jumping for joy. :Pinkbounc I don't expect to get much less than $200 RT. If I do then :dance3:

I love Southwest!

Due to them being new to the Denver area, we have never flown them. Just booked our Thanksgiving airfare, and realized I had clicked on the wrong button for our return fare. Had several screens up and trying to book quickly, used the wrong screen and booked the wrong return date. Just went into the change flights - changed it for the next day, and it asked me if I wanted a refund. No change fee, and although the fares were the same, the taxes were different, so it offered me the choice of a small refund! If I had tried to do that on United (which we love and usually fly), I would have incurred a huge change fee per passenger and certainly not a refund!

Thanks to all here that take the time and patience to educate us newbies. I would have panicked and not known about being able to change if I had not read it here!

Hi Maria! Yes, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger now. $1300 is tough to swallow, but I'll cross my fingers for a lower fare.
