Southwest has opened fares to Aug 3.

I am looking for Aug 16 + 23 so will have to wait a little longer.

Have you considered Jetblue.
They are doing flights at that time for $89-99 each way non stop.

I just checked again for the August dates. Still nothing great. So I'm waiting. I'll PM you if I find anything.

They've got a direct one way on jetblue for $89 from Buffalo to Orlando on the 18th 19th and 20th of August. $119 is the cheapest coming home now though. I'm thinking about booking it one way for now. I'm going to sleep on it.

Just found Airtrans for $99 coming home. Not direct though. But it's getting better!

Not sure if you will get this but I talked to a CM at Southwest and the next opening of dates will probably be February beginning to mid. Thought I would let you know, waiting for September dates to open.

As much as I love SWA....I have to be honest in saying that I think the days of $59 and $69 flights are no more.
So, you have to think seriously about some of the Jetblue and Air Tran prices being offered at present(which are pretty darn good....$89,99,119,,,Anything is better than that monsterous pit we call Pearson!:goodvibes ).
I've noticed in the short time since I booked Jetblue, they have went up about $20 each way. Will they come down again??......hmmmm..who knows.

I was thinking of doing swa for buf-mco and jetblue for mco-buf.. more because of times than anything else. But yes I have noticed that they are higher in price and also I am nervous with their new boarding system with my kids (they are ages 6-12 so pre-boarding is not an option) I will log on exactly 24 hours before my flight down but I can't do that for the way home. So I am using jetblue for that leg.

Mousy in Canada

No not really, she said it would only be from Aug3 to some time in September, when I asked if that would be for our dates Sept 16-23, she said it could be no set dates as of yet. If I get any info I will be sure to post it to this thread.

At any Disney resort, the CM's at the front desk will do your online checkin for you if you want. Another way is if you have a family member at home, leave them your Conf # and they can do it for you.All you then do is print it off at the terminal computer when you arrive.

We are also looking for flights in September. Would love to know in advance when they will come out. Looking for a flight to MCO between Sept 16 - 26 and a return from Sept 23 - Oct 3.

Will keep an eye on it, I have Bing set up on my computer to let me know of any new Orlando flights, I will post a new thread or a message in this thread if I get anything. Looking to fly out of Buffalo, originally from Niagara Falls Ontario. Keep an eye on the boards around beginning to mid February is when I was told from CM at Southwest.

Anyone else ever wonder how the likes of SW (whom I really like BTW) do these flights so cheap? I used to work for an airline...and would like to know (or maybe not?) where they are cutting the $$$ from! Are they skimping on something else?

No...they are just an efficient, well run company who makes their profits from quantity sales (without overcharging). They also have some of the most flexible booking options in the business. Another big cost saver for them is their multi-year fuel purchase ,locked in at a reasonable price.
Their"on-time" performances are still tops in North America which is fantastic when you consider the number of flights they have on any given day.
The proof is in the pudding (as they say). With some of the best prices....they still manage to be one of the most profitable airlines in North America.
I feel bad for some of the Canadian airlines because they would not be able to compete head to head with SWA simply because of our countries exorbitant taxes and fees......but then again,it seems that only Westjet even comes close in customer service, reliability and performance to SWA !

Well then GOOD! Feel better...

Sadly the U.S imposes many of our taxes on the U.S bound flts...guess they too want us heading Stateside! The likes of AC are not so affected but the smaller carriers, what is left of them must struggle for sure!

Just wondering if anyone knows, is it possible to get a credit or refund from Southwest if a booked flight's price has dropped since the time puchase?
