Southwest just released October fares, beware, they are not pretty

I’m shocked by this! I just went to look for my September flights and literally zero nonstop flights to/from PHL. There are a few on Saturdays but those aren’t my travel days. I have vouchers that I think might expire because there is no chance I’m booking a layover.

Does SW ever add flights after they release them?

Is BWI an option? It’s only about 90 minutes from Philly. I haven’t checked recently, but they usually have four or five nonstop flights a day to MCO. BWI is a hub for SW so I think they offer better options and prices over Philly.

Interesting reading these for domestic flights. I booked DH on points to Belize this morning, equivalent price was $188, one way. Have to wait for the next release for his trip home.

Going in September and yes....prices aren't great.

Which is what we expected when the release was pushed out from March 3 to March 30th.

Nashville to Orlando is $141, which Nashville usually has some relatively reasonable rates to Florida destinations, simply for the reason of it being a shorter flight.....well, not today.
I know how you feel. I booked my flight from Nashville today for September 13 returning on the 19th and it came to $341 with taxes! Good thing my husband flies on a companion pass.

Weekdays before OCT 15th, 2022 there are NO non-stops from Mco to PHL. I hope things get better.
Sorry I meant PHL to MCO
Yikes I was moaning about them dropping to only 2 NS from PIT to MCO & the ridiculous times…either crack of dawn or not landing until close to midnight

Can’t say I’ve seen that happen. However, it is not unusual to now see flight times change or disappear completely.

with fuel prices what they are, not sure what was expected. They'll probably go up. I don't need flights until mid-November and those will probably be higher
Add in the pent up demand for travel and the large number of aircraft crew that retired when it was offered two years ago. 8% inflation and much higher staffing costs since they can't hire anyone.
I booked a refundable Delta fare for a trip I promised my son in December. When SW opens their schedule for that I'll compare and decide.

It does happen occasionally, I wouldn't count on it and I would guess almost no chance of it happening at a time that you want in PHL.
