I check rates every day (usually at least a few times) for my Jan. vacation. The cheapest 1 way has been $170. This morning the 2 least expensive catergories are ALL showing unavailable! The least expensive is $210 one way! This just happened overnight. Any ideas why? Could there be a sale coming?

I have been checking too a few times a day. The cheapest had been about $79-$84 each way. Now they have two colums showing unavailable completely. :confused3 I was wondering what I had missed. This watching air fare is about to kill me. Hopefully they will have availability at a reasonable price or a ding soon!!!!!!

I lucked out. Caught fares yesterday from BWI to MCO, Sat 1/26 - Sat 2/2, $118 ROUND TRIP!!!!!!!!!! on Southwest. There are 6 of us going for a total of $708. I just checked again, and today it would cost $2150 for the same flights.

I was just coming to post the same question. We are looking for PVD to MCO 1/25 to 2/2. Yesterday the low price was $104 one way (still kind of high in my opinion). Today, the bottom three price categories are all inavailable. The lowest price now is $144 one way.

I've also been checking SW for a couple of different routes, and all the lower fares are showing unavailable today! Hopefully it's just something short-term related to changes they're making.

Has anyone seen this before? We've been flying SW for a number of years, and I can't remember seeing all those "unavailables" so many months before travel times. :confused3

It's not just January. I checked some random dates in October, November, and December, and for each date I checked the Discount Fares, Promotional Fares, and Internet One-Way fares were unavailable.

Hey, I see the good fares now! :cool1:

Check yours again and see if they show up!

I just checked the dates I need and you have to book a round trip flight in order to see the 119 rate for mht to mco. I want to book two one ways so I am going to wait a little longer.

I've also been checking a few times daily for PHL/MCO early January.......still showing the lowest at $111 ow, however, everything is very available.....matter of fact everything is wide open for my dates.......but, since it is wipe open I guess I'll wait a little longer to try for a lower fare.

Check what rates you get as a round trip. I prefer to book one way, but for MHT-MCO, SW is offering much better rates if you book a round trip rather than as two one way flights. It's currently showing $119 each way, not great but better than $170 each way.

Don't just look at the last column of rates -- this rate was in the second to last column because this fare class has a price range of $119-$199. Since the upper end of the range is higher than the rate in the last column, this fare category is in the second to last column of the display. I didn't even notice it at first since I only look at the rightmost column.

I prefer booking one ways so I can take advantage of rate drops on just one leg of the trip, but decided to take the $119 rate and get the flight times I wanted while they were still available.

Good luck!

I just checked again and the last two columns are up and available again. Problem is that the prices are still the same. Waiting and waiting.....

Hey Patticakes,

In general I think SW airfares are up all over. I recently moved from Billerica, MA to Ohio. Always traveled to Disney using SW out of MHT and got great rates. But out here in the midwest flights for SW to Orlando from area airports are not appealling.

I know Logan is a pain to get to, but Jet Blue sometimes has great rates direct to Orlando. Also, the satellite TV and assigned seating makes it a much more enjoyable flight. I never flew Jet Blue when I lived in Boston, but I now fly from Ohio to Boston with Jet Blue and have never had any problems with their service.

Good Luck.

We have flown Jet Blue out of Boston 2X. We just love MHT though .So much easier, cheaper parking and right now I have a credit and dh will have a RR trip after we fly in 2 weeks. It is always a waiting game with SW though!

I'm seeing the same thing out of Long Island for January. The best price FOR ANY DATE after December 19 is $137 (I used their "shortcut to the best fare" button). I'm assuming the prices will drop as it gets closer so I booked the $137 on the way down (we wanted the earliest flight) and will try to get a credit to apply for the trip up when (and if) the prices change.

Note- JetBlue is $84 each way for the same dates but we live 10 minutes from the Southwest airport and almost an hour from the Jetblue one.

Same boat as you neighbor 15 minutes away from SW and an hour away from JB. Plus the town parking pass.... This can't be the end of the line for internet fares being released in the process???????? We are looking for March fares and am a little frightened of what the bill is going to be!

Just got $49 each way for flights IAD-MCO in January and February.

I was checking the beginning of February though, not Presidents Day and after - no idea if they have that fare for those prime dates.

All fellow Long Islanders, check SW website now. Booked this morning for Jan. flights and the internet fares are up. Got 79 down and 99 back. Up until last night they were still 137:
