I just went to Southwest's web page and was able to keep the exact same flights I had paid $177 for and re-book for only $93.50 roundtrip!!! Because they could not see that fare in the system, they had me book it online, then gave me a complete refund for the original $177 fare and put the credit back on my credit card.
She did mention a few things.
1. No curb-side check-in (which we all knew).
2. Give yourself at least 2 hours prior to the flight to get through all check-in's & security checks.
I heard on the news yesterday that all passengers had to check-in at the ticket counter first (does not matter if you have an electronic ticket), as well as at the gate. I also heard that security was checking all carry-ons. She did not hear about those two items, but said that they may not have been told yet.
