Southwest has released their schedules up thru May 31, 2013.

We of course are leaving on 6/1....so still no good for us.

In looking around on the site, the # of flights is appears to be way down.

There had been 5/6 flights between Indy / Orlando in previous months, but when I looked today for late May, there are only 2 down to Orlando on 5/18 & 5/25 (and only was is non-stop). Hopefully the June schedule has more flight dates.

The next wave, which will run thru Mid Aug of 2013, is set to be released on Nov 19th. As with most things in life, that is subject to change.

Happy Flight Booking!

Yay! Thanks, I've been waiting for May 1st. Prices are still a bit high though. I'll wait a bit longer.

I was able to book half my trip today. We leave on May 28th and are returning on June 7th. I have enough SW points for the tickets, so don't have to buy those (yeah!!).

The only thing I don't like is there are never any direct flights from MSP to Orlando. So, I booked the 6:05 AM Flight and we have 1 stop in Chicago and change planes then we arrive at 11:50. I like to get in at a reasonable time and then relax for the day. We have done this time with the kids many times.

Now to wait til the next dates open up.

we leave the same day as you 6/1 ! hoping to get an overnight flight from S.F.

We are planning on going May 18 until ? the price one way from LI NY is $160,do you think it will get lower at all or should I get them now?

We fly out of Indy too and on some days, there are no non-stop flights!
It seems that SWA has moved most of the non-stop flights from Indy to Orlando to Airtran. This merger has killed the competition in the Indy market. Hopefully it will all eventually become Southwest and we won't have to deal with Airtran and their inferior service and policies.

I noticed the same thing. I'm not a happy camper at all about them shifting their non-stop/direct IND->MCO over to airtran. Now we have baggage fees, seat fees, drink and snack fees, heck...maybe they'll start looking at lavatory fees...

I know that the Airtran out of Dayton, OH will become SW in March so maybe that will happen in Indy. We live just outside of Cincy and used to drive to Indy to fly SW but recently have flown out of Columbus or Louisville because the times and prices were much better!

I suspect that SW is just consolidating routes with AirTran. Both of them fly out of Indy, and SW probably saw a potential of extra profit by reducing direct SW flights and adding direct AirTran flights (with additional fees) until AirTran is fully branded as SW. Just my .02. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of direct for when I want to go. I really enjoyed flying SW to Vegas this year, and wanted to use them for Orlando next year.
