Do "anytime" seats ever turn into "wanna get away" seats ?

Only if the anytime seats aren't selling. Possible but completely unpredictable.

No, that's like apples turning into oranges. What might happen is Southwest could open up more seats in the lower fare class.

The inexpensive "wanna getaway" fares for my dates in October were completely sold out a day after Southwest released them (February) so I ended up having to change my trip dates. Then about 3 months later (May), all flights showed up one day with the "wanna getaway" fares back so I quickly booked for my original dates in October that I had wanted (and changed my trip dates again, lol).

So yes, it can happen!

Same as the PP...our wanna get away flights quickly sold out right after the window opened...then I've seen them back for sale several times since.

Lived this back in January/February for August fares. Magically the WTGA fares appeared in April/May for the same August flights
