For various reasons (price AND schedule!) I have booked Southwest (a DING fare)to Orlando but Delta for the return trip...has anyone else done this? Any more complicated? I thought booking Magical Express might be tricky but that was a piece of cake (at least entering the info online was easy...who knows how it will actually work!)

We did that last year. Took Delta down, and Southwest back. No problems, really, but we did get the "extra security screening" on our boarding passes both ways. I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not, though.

Just allow extra time for the security screening since you have one way tickets.

We did it last Dec and had no extra security screening either way. I'm going to do it again this year.

I frequently book SW one way and Song the other. I have never had a problem with the airlines or security. I do allow extra time at the airport just in case of extra screening, but to this point, everything has been smooth sailing.

If you use online checkin, you will most likely know if they will be subjecting you to extra security as you will either not be able to checkin or there will be codes on the BP to indicate this (with SW it is usually in the large rectangle on the BP that is reserved for comments, etc.)
