We had previously booked our group of 15... going down Friday before and returning the Sunday after.

Once the reservation period was extended... the deals for us were not there (they say Sunday is not discounted because it is soooo busy).

So today I will be cancelling our group ressies... we ended up booking our individual families online and got our trip down for $74.00 pp. (Internet Only Special) Better than the $89/pp group rate.

The return trip was going to be $154.50 for adults and $145.50 for children... So we are booking with Air Tran as a group for $87.50 pp.

All that waiting made me a little crazy!!!

I sure am glad that is done!!!

I just booked SW in January from Islip to Orlando - $59 each way. I was waiting for so long to do this. Anita.

but I am glad you got yours at a good rate... we would have been thrilled at $59 each way... but we're satisfied.

:smooth:

Wonderful.....glad you got a great deal!!
Our grp tickets are not the best price w/SW @$190 each, but it was BWI, perfect times, non stop, going down Fri and coming back Sat before Xmas and I no longer have to worry about it.....so we won't complain ;)

I've been seeing a lot of mention about Air Tran. I don't know of that airline. Is it new? Where can I learn about it and it's reputation. I live in the Los Angeles area. Thanks!

We have never found any exceptional deals on SW from Chicago to MCO. We usually do better on ATA, although we just got a cheaper fare on American for our January trip. I'm glad, since I really prefer having an assigned seat.

Thanks Goin2dzny, I checked their website and they don't fly into southern California :( I guess that's why I haven't heard of them.

I guess we got lucky -- r/t Buffalo to Jacksonville for $125 (tax included). When you have to purchase 6 tickets it's worth the savings of $50/ticket to fly to Jax instead of MCO.
