This is a weird combination of events, but here goes.
I paid for flights (PHL to MDW) with Paypal, as I usually do, it is linked to my checking account. I am lazy and do not like typing in my CC numbers over and over for things.
I had to rebook the flights, and owed an additional $60, and again clicked to pay with Paypal. I kept getting error messages. I had to call SW to straighten it out. They said it is a glitch, if your original tickets were paid with Papal, you need to use a different payment source to pay the additional $$. She even warned me not to use a debit card that is also linked to that checking account. I used a different card, and it went thru fine.
Just to add the original flights were booked a month prior, so no payment was "pending" or anything, and the account had $2000 in it, and I have never had any previous Paypal issues that would cause complications.
If I knew this, I could have saved myself time on hold with SW trying to figure out what was wrong.
