i am just had to cancel my flights on Southwest for Spring Break and now have a credit. Does anyone know if you can use that towards the purchase of a package or can I only use it towards a flight? The package would be a flight and hotel. Thanks!

I'm assuming you were refunded in the form of a LUV Voucher. Unfortunately, no, it appears you cannot use a LUV Voucher towards a Southwest Vacation Package. They can only be used towards Southwest Airfare. Note that your voucher's expiration date is likely 12 months from your purchase date, not your flight date.

Thanks. That's what I figured. We'll just have to book the flight and hotel separate.

And I'll add that your voucher will expire one year from the date that you had purchased your original travel, not from the date that you had intended to travel. So, if you had bought your tickets in January for travel in March, you must complete your new trip by the one year anniversary of your purchase date in January.

The OPs are correct. FWIW Southwest Vacations is operated by an outside company for the airline, as are most airline packages. They get special fares from airlines to build their flight & hotel packages with, and the airline gets package plans branded with their name. Those companies don't redeem vouchers for published air fares.
