Forgive me if this has been discussed before. We don't fly often, so I am not usually around here.

I have a Southwest Credit (actually everyone in the family does). I can only find a good fare via AirTran. Will they apply the Southwest Credit to an AirTran fare.

Thanks in advance.:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I am in the exact same situation. I called air tran and asked and they said no. I was on the phone the other day with Southwest for a question about Rapid Rewards and thought I should double check with them. They said you could transfer reward points, but not credits.

Sorry.

Thanks for the quick answer. We are flying first week of December so I am wait it out a few more days to see if Southwest comes down a bit. With the credit, it may work out. Hope your situation works out for your also! Have a safe trip.

I think AT gave you wrong information.

You should be able to convert a SW credit to an AT credit... however, you're going to need 8 AT credits for a one-way coach rewards fare.

A SW standard reward is good for a RT fare on AT.

That is for reward points. I think the OP is talking about cash credits (from a fare reduction or cancellation).
