Did anybody else see this today on Southwest site? I had no idea about this. There goes any competition on fares in our airport.

It's OLD news. The merger was closed today, that's all. They will pretty much continue to operate independently for another year or so before you see any real integration.

This has been all over the news (and The DIS Boards) for about a year. Now that it's closed I'm curious to see what changes will be made. It's been business as usual up until now. I'm soon ready to make a Nov. reservation on AT, not sure if I should do it now or wait & see what my options will be once they become one.

Thanks for the info! I hadn't been very active on Disboards for a couple of years since I had no idea when I would be going again. So long that I had to register again as my old account was locked out. Decided two months ago that we would be able to go back again after not being there the last two years. Booked a trip for the first week in August and I am so excited! I guess in my recent research I dind't see this. Thanks again.
