Southwest booking window

I want to know this too. Planning on Vacationing May22nd and returning June 2 or 3rd

I think that it's usually around 6 months out. I know that they opened their November schedule up the first week of May this year.

I was just coming here to post this exact question. I have had the worst luck with airfare (paying double over the last few years) and I want to be ready as soon as fares become available.

Historically, May has opened for booking at some time during October. You can see a list of past release dates at this link.

Thanks for the link! In that thread the OP quoted this from the SWA website:
We are currently accepting air reservations through February 12, 2014. On July 22, 2013, we will open our schedule for sale through March 7, 2014. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently

Can anyone tell me where to find this on the SWA website?? TIA.

I booked our Thanksgiving trip 2 or 3 days after they opened the November schedule up and prices have not been as low as what I was able to snag since then. I even priced out the trip during some sales that they have had since then and I still got better fares that first week.

Near the top of the southwest website, you will see a drop down box for "Travel Tools". At the bottom of the drop down box is a choice labeled "View all Travel Tools". Select that and when the page loads you will see the information you seek.

Thanks for sharing this information. In the past I have waited and have pretty much always regretted it as the prices started out so-so and then went up from there. I haven't seen prices under 100$ (each way) for my area/dates in a few years :( . Multiplying that by 5-6 people and the ticket prices add up quick!
