Southwest - Booking Window Open

I am happy, book our round trip flight for 4 for nov 4 to nov 11 from Long Island to Orlando for $1000. It's not the best deal but it's only 100 more then what we thought it would be.

The airfare jumped over $100 for the flight I wanted in just an hour. Is that normal?? I'm nervous that it could go up even more now :(

Booked for our cruise! $150 PIT-MCO (Not bad considering it's the Saturday after Thanksgiving.) I was going to only book 1 way, but MCO-PIT was only $118. All booked with points, so $147 all in with fees and EBCI for 5 both ways. We'll take it.:thumbsup2

We purchased nonstop flights from flint, mi to MCO for just shy of $250 each. 11/14-11/22. We are happy with that. We get into Orlando at 3:30 on our arrival day and leave at 7:00pm on departure day, so that is great too. The best part about SW is if a different flight time opens that we prefer, we can swap. Plus, getting 2 free checked bags each is awesome!!!

Just grab my ticket home on Dec 26 :cool1: Orlando to Flint, Mi.
SOOO much lower than Delta or United.

Thanks for the heads up, it paid off :woohoo::woohoo:

I'm happy! BWI - MCO $235RT

Just booked a one way on 12/25 for 6 people from Long Island to Tampa. We never fly into Tampa but it was cheaper. Now just have to book a flight home but hoping prices go down so that we can fly into Orlando. I'm going to wait it out. This is going to be torture.

We booked PHL to MCO for 11/13 to 11/18 and got $240 rt for each person. That's is not horrible, its been what it has been running, but what's weird the 2 later non stop flights from MCO to PHL were listed as sold out for the get away fares. I just find that odd as the flights just opened up. So we are leaving mid day rather then dinner time.

Just booked one way using my rewards points from the southwest visa( for the first time) yaaaa, only cost me $10. Hopefully the flights home go down.

OP here....

After playing around with multiple airlines and airports, we found JFK to JAX for $127 each way on Delta. JAX is a 2.5 hour drive to WDW and rental care rates were reasonable ($217 for a standard). This itinerary places our total travel cost (airfare, rental, gas, tolls) at $1250, which is far below the expecatation ($2000) I had going in for our Christmas week trip.

Plus, as an added bonus, my seven year old has no idea where Jacksonville is, so this will be a very easy trip to surprise her with!

Just booked Non-Stop flights;

Dallas to MCO Dec 14 - Dec 20.

I got great flight times & were $249. each.

I used points & only paid $10 for the tickets.

I was pretty happy!

Booked our return flight on 11/1 for $109, MCO to BWI. Did two with cash and two with points (I had to buy some points, but still cheaper than buying the fare so....) I feel like I can finally relax now, that was the last thing I needed to do until we book FP+! Doubt the prices will ever drop beyond what I paid - $112 down and $109 back so maybe I can force myself to stop stalking their website, lol.

:banana:Three of us, Buffalo to MCO, nonstop for $218 each round -trip. Add in ECBI, and still the cheapest I have booked in years. Paid for with points (thank-you new roof last fall!). LOVE Southwest !

What are your dates? We're also out of Buffalo and need 11/15-11/22 but it's about $300pp round trip right now. I booked the return leg but the flight there is pretty high.

Nov 6-10 Boston to Orlando with one stop each way for 552.00 for myself and daughter! Not bad, but long gone are the days of $69.00 each way!! Loved those deals! LOL

For us our $218 non-stop return per person out of Buffalo was Dec 3 departure, Dec 12 return.

I was happy to see nonstops flights again from GRR to MCO, but had to do Fri-Fri Thanksgiving week instead of the Sat-Sat I was hoping for... just couldn't stomach the points for the Saturday return.

I just got $109 each way nonstop from Islip to MCO for Nov. 11-19. It's exactly what we paid for our April/May flights so I'm happy!

Ok...the price for my departure flight just went up from $310 to $361.

I think I'm going to burst into tears. I don't know what to do.

I booked our November flights this morning. We layover in Atlanta going, and our flight to Orlando is on AirTran. Should I pay the extra money to pick seats, or do they try to keep families together when assigning seats? It's just DH and I that have seats since DD will be sitting in one of our laps. It would be nice if we could be together, but don't want to pay if it's likely we'll be together anyway...
