This is the first time I did not have a direct flight on SW. Do I have to check in 2x for the two different flight numbers or will I use the same boarding pass for both legs of my flight? If I get A group will I automatically be in A group for both flights?

TIA :goodvibes

If you have a connecting flight on SWA you will be allowed to check in for both legs of the flight at the 24-hour mark for your first flight. While there's no guarantee that you will receive "A" boarding passes on your second flight if you get "A" passes on your first flight, since both flights are still handled individually on a first come-first served basis, it would be very unlikely. It's much more likely, in fact, that you could get "A" passes for your second flight even if you get "B" passes on the first flight. That's because you have at least a few hours head start on getting your passes for the second flight vs. people who are starting their travel on the flight.

I've done this before, and what Jest said is 100% right on.

Last time that I flew into Orlando (last summer) was on Southwest on a flight w/ a layover, and I got 2 boarding passes online right at once.

This only happens when you are physically changing planes, of course. Lots of 1-stop flights just land, let some people off+on, then continue on the same plane to Orlando--so in that case you wouldn't need a 2nd boarding pass...you just get out for a quick stretch and re-board the same plane.

Thanks...So I do check in seperately, but can do them both at the 24 hour mark of the first flight. Thanks again... :goodvibes
