Southwest baggage cutoff?

I just barely made my flight this morning. However, I missed the baggage cutoff by 10 minutes. What is the likelihood my bag made it on my flight. If not, do they just send it on the next flight out? Thanks

Not sure what you mean. Was this at WDW or at your home airport? I'm not sure what happens if you miss the cut off time.....I would imagine the bags would be sent on a later flight.

I'm surprised they took it, actually. I've seen people on other airlines (the one instance I specifically remember was at SAN) directed to security to try to get through with their big bags; that was the only option given them.

They'll try to get it on the next flight, but when that happened to someone I know - whole was technically right at the cut-off time, it took about 36 hours for his suitcase to arrive.

Passengers need to check luggage before whatever the cut-off time is for that airline - not right at that time, as my friend discovered - to allow time for the luggage to be security-checked, then brought to and loaded on the plane.

Im on my flight right now. Just not sure if my bag made it on the same flight. They took the bag, but I had to sign a waiver. Guess I will find out soon.

The bag didn't make it on my flight, however it did arrive hours later. I tripped up this morning with the time change, as did several other passengers

Thanks for letting us know how it worked out! Glad the bag made it to you.....even if a bit late! Many at church were late as well....methinks that people need to put an automatic wake-up alarm on their phones...that way, when a time change happens, the alarm moves automatically.....
