I know there was a thread recently about Manchester airport in general, but this week I flew SW from there and for the purpose of giving all of you up-to-date information, paid close attention to the little details that normally at 6:00 in the morning, I pretty much gloss over.
* There IS curbside baggage check-in for SW.
* There are 2 check-in kiosks for those of you who won't check luggage. I spent literally 30 seconds to do this. You get your boarding card with your boarding group printed on it. It's all you need.
* The regular check-in line was long, even at 6:00 am. I was sad to see several people who were not checking luggage standing in that line. I kinda hoped that they had another transaction to do that required a person bc otherwise it was a total waste of time. Trust the machines. They work.
* They pre-board your whole family if one of your kids is under 5 or disabled.
Last, this is a tip, not a MHT thing. If you need a second boarding card at a connecting airport, there are kiosks all over Midway and BWI and you can get it there. Again, avoid the lines.
Hope this is helpful.
