I am looking at booking our flights for our October trip. I am looking at the "Wanna Get Away" tickets, will they charge my account now or once we have actually flown?

They will charge on purchase of the tickets.

As PP indicated, all airlines will charge you for the flights immediately. Jet Blue and AirTran have a 6 month no payment/no financing charge (if you qualify) through bill me now.

Hope that helps.

FYI make sure that you have double the amount of the tickets in your checking account of you use a debit card as it has been my experience that SW will "hold" your account for the full purchase price, but then the tickets charge through individually so the hold does not automatically come off of your account. For example, if you buy 4 tickets for $1000 total, the hold will be for $1000 and the changes will go through at $250 each so your bank may not release the $1000 hold. It will usually come off after about 5 days, but I wanted you to beware because the first time I bought tickets in SW, I didn't realize this and just happened to catch it in time to move money around before I bounced checks.
