It's not just the folks who pay for early bird check-in but also anyone with a connecting flight can check in 24 hours in advance of their FIRST flight, which often gives them a several hour head start.

But I've never gotten a B at 24 hours, so you may be right.

And, in addition, families with small children board between A and B. Maybe they should only sell so many EBCI's???
