I made my flight reservations with Southwest yesterday for November 21-28, 2003! The price was higher than I had hoped, but at least I don't have to worry about not having seats!
Has anyone gotten better pricing after the initial reservation, and if so, how difficult was it to have the discount applied?
It is very easy to get the discount. They will give you a credit for future travel unless you purchased refundable tickets, in that case they will give you a refund back to your credit card. If you booked online you may have to cancel and rebook while they are on the phone with you so you don't lose your initial reservation.

Yep....just went to the SW site and the promo code box is absent. Of course, I missed it! Just like I missed the $68 one way fares MHT to MCO last week. I'm not having very good luck with airfares lately!!!
Trying to plan a last minute trip in August and I hope another good promo code comes along before then!
Yea, I missed it too and I can't get a flight from Las Vegas to BWI (my nephew is flying to me and we'll drive down to Florida together) for less than $250, but that's really way too high for me. We're trying to do a budget trip. I was hoping to get under $200. Oh well.
Thanks, Gail and Laurajean. My last trip with SWA was $158 total, so I thought maybe I had missed a sale ! Now I feel better and will just keep my fingers crossed for that $158 fare again.
$171 is a good price. I'm okay with anything below $200. But if I remember correctly, the summer before before 9/11, SWA had RT flights of $75 and then $90. Then in January 2002, RT was $109 and then in January 2003 and May of 2003, RT was $158.
But as one portion of a trip goes up (in this case airfare), another goes down (right now food costs with Connections vouchers), and total trip costs stay about the same, so I'm happy!
