Southwest Airlines Credit Card Promo - Help!

I got my card when it was 2 RT flights, before the current point system came in that they use now.

I love the SW card, but the best tip I got here on DIS, was for me and DH to each get our own card. So, we got 4 RT flights.

Speaking of Target - anyone know if you can pay on SWA credit card balance w/ gift cards? I've heard ppl pay Kohl's card w/ them b/c they're in house financed, is SWA card like this also? Just a long shot, but every bit helps!

Target is the only company I know of with an in-house bank for the credit cards. Southwest is done through Chase.

Figured as much! I think BF is going to get the sapphire so we can get the 40k now & be done w/ it, IF calling to apply & asking for the 50k promo doesn't work. I don't think we'll end up keeping it either way, so maybe if they offer the 50k later he can get that card for the points then.

If you want to earn more points for SW do erewards. You can set it up with your SW account number and do surveys. I started last winter around Nov or Dec and I have redeemed at least 500 points once a month. I think I had one or 2 where I redeemed 1000 to my account.

I just started after reading about it on the boards. Now that I have been active for a few days I started getting more offers for surveys.

It's sporadic. Today I had 4 sometimes I go for days without them. $25 equals 500 points. Every little bit helps.
I also do emiles, but that one is very slow. I only redeemed once since Nov.

Well, I knew my luck!!! BF called SWA to ask for the 50k promo, no luck. Then applied for the sapphire yesterday, approved. Then see a post today that SWA just posted they are offering the 50k promo to GP again starting today LOL he applied for it just now & all went well. We'll just cancel the other card, thankfully this came out before we had a chance to charge anything to it. Here's the link if anyone wants to get it:
