We're going to Disney February 25-March 2, 2008. I like the flights on Southwest but the prices are still $380.80 per person compared to next week when I could take the same flights for $150. Are these prices likely to go down? And if so, when?

Thanks!

JetBlue has airfare Buffalo to Orlando Feb 25, return March 2, for $240 USD per person.

JetBlue also is a Disney partner for Resort Check In !! Plus, with JetBlue, you can reserve your seat at the time of reservation.

the rates for feb had just gone up about 1 week ago, and alot of the select seats are no longer available. So i don't expect cheaper rates or dings for a couple of weeks. However, we waited last year, for Dings and finally got a good rate $89 each way from Buffalo but we had take odd time flights the idea times were unavailable. So we did not arrive til 11pm and we departed in the morning on our last day.

I missed the cheap rates for Feb when they were first released so i am going to definetly consider Jetblue and be able to book our seats ahead of time! :thumbsup2

Hi
Not sure where in Ontario you are, but have you thought about flying from Detroit?
Southwest has flights out on your date for just $69 with taxes, and return from $97.80.
As we are in Hamilton, the drive to Detroit is about 3 hours, but I will definitely be looking at Detroit when the March break flights open up. a 3 hour drive could save us $100 each.

Unless that time of year is generally busy (not sure if there are any holidays around then), I'd feel confident waiting for a Ding. If not familiar with Ding, check it out on southwest.com. For our mid-January trip, I waited until a month before our trip and we got a great price with Ding.

The prices for the outgoing flight might stay high because of President's Week. I am not sure which week in Feb it is, something makes me think the actually holiday is Feb 21st or 22nd. The 25th is the following Monday so you might be okay to wait.

we did this last Feb (but early feb which was NOT peak season) and although we did get a rate of $89 from Buffalo, we did not get the flight we wanted, so be carefull how long you wait, unless you don't mind late evening flights.
The dates you have are for Peak season.

Oh! We only picked those dates because that was when Disney sent us the 20% off offer. I thought that was a slow Disney time.

It would help to know where the OP is flying from. If she's closer to Detroit than Buffalo, it might be worthwhile. Otherwise, the cost of renting a car and gas to drive 1½ hours each way is going to cost a lot more money compared to flying from Buffalo to Orlando.

We live in Oakville and my inlaws are in Thorold (St. Catharines) so it makes a lot more sense for us to fly out of Buffalo - FIL is a semi-scary driver and daughter gets car sick! UGH!

One bit of advice regarding crossing the Niagara border; unless you'll be crossing at a slow time of the day or year, take the Fort Erie crossing (the Queenston-Lewiston is usually quite busy).
