Southwest Air! New Dates!

I have been waiting and waiting for Southwest to extend their booking dates out. I wouldn't hold your breath but this sounded quite promising. I just got off the phone with a SW rep and she looked up some screen and read to me what it said. On or about September 19th 10:00 am Central Time, the booking date will extend through March 8th! I can't hardly stand to wait. I hope it will be worth it!

I am anxiously awaiting also and I am checking pretty much every hour. I know it will happen soon. The rep I spoke to a few minutes ago said sometime today or tomorrow. They sure do like to hold back the info.

The flights I wanted are already booked! I called, they said sorry, it is school vacation and they are booking as fast as they come online.

Darn! I was hoping for some good rates for our early February trip.

I'm guessing November will be when they have good rates??? Guess I'll have to be patient...

I've been waiting anxiously for later dates in January on SWA and they are finally out. I got a good fare $55.83 base rate one way from Nashville to Orlando.

Here's a tip, this fare did NOT show up on the fare page. When I put in my dates and was able to pick my flights, it still did NOT show up ($96 base rate one way internet special was the lowest). I continued to the next page and there it was: $55.83 base rate each way.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone else is as lucky. If you've tried and didn't see a good rate, try continuing through the process until it gives you an "all-up" price. It may be better than you are expecting.

Well, Southwest came through for me. I at least got the first part our trip booked, but will have to wait until they extend their schedule further for the return. I got tickets from Houston on March 5 for $86.50 each. Anything under $100 is a good deal to me. I did have to move my scheduled time up by a day and leave Wednesday night instead of Thursday because there were no cheap flights available at all on Thursday. I'm guessing it's because it's getting into the busier Spring Break season.

providence to mco...says $99 internet fare, but then on the next screen it changes to 72.56..add tax and security fee and it comes to $86.50 each way.

i'm hesitant to book since i know it will probably go lower, but i need 11 seats and would like the early flight (which i figure is more popular)

so, should i book? if it goes lower can i get a refund on the difference with internet fares?

I'm in the same dilemma as you...jan 22-28. Got the same fare ($173RT) and after going back and forth with myself all day, decided to wait and see what the future brings.

Last August I got $53.50 one way (internet special) from PVD to MCO so maybe it'll happen again (I can hope!!!!)
