Southwest 12/1 computer glitch???

My dates are 12/1 to 12/7. We're flying from PHL. MOST of the flights say "Sold Out" or "More Advanced Purchase Required"...and basically NO Wanna Get Away fares.

My "kids" are flying from ROC and MHT/BOS...and it's the same thing.

Is this a computer glitch?

I was just coming here to ask the same thing. Our dates are 11/29 - 12/7, also flying from Philly and most selections say sold out too. I called SWA but the wait time on hold was 16-25 minutes so I hung up.

It's GOTTA be them. They just came out with the schedule...so the flights CAN'T be sold out yet.

It is SW's rollout of fares. The ones that are showing soldout are all Airtran flights. If you go though Airtran, you can book the flights or wait until they show up on SW's site.

Our dates aren't sold out but the computer won't process tham, keep getting an errror message. We also called and the wait was 26 to 41 min. I am very anxious to get booked

The SW flights are showing "more advanced purchase required" for the Wanna Get Away.

I'm not booking yet...I just want the schedule. We have expired travel funds that need to be extended, so I have to wait until at least June 1st to book so I can extend and use the vouchers. Meanwhile...it gives me some anxiety.

ETA...could that mean that they're not going to sell Wanna Get Away fares?

Same here. I called SW at 5:45 am CST and they told me that all the schedules had not loaded yet and that it should be up in about 2 hours. Well that was nearly 2 hours ago and nothing for me route on 12/1 either. I keep refreshing the page in hopes to see something.

We are flying out of PHL on 11/27 and I was having the same problems with Southwest. I ended up booking non-stop from UsAir for $125 pp. Waiting to book return flight on 12/8.

SW's site can be wonky when the fares first come out. I've had problems before where the new dates show up, then disappear, then reappear again. It usually settles down within an hour or so.

Just called SW again and this time was told they are having technical difficulty for 12/1 and that it would be up sometime this afternoon. CSR did thank me for my patience. Will continue to check and keep my fingers crossed it will be available this afternoon.

Let's hope that's it! Those prices are scary! My kids may fly in the day before, as those prices are MUCH better. From PHL, USAir has pretty reasonable prices for 12/1. I'm gonna wait and see what happens. My DH might decide that HE is driving. We'll see on that, too. Last time he flew, he got sick for a couple weeks (terrible/non-existent immune system).

We usually try to fly back on Monday when traveling that weekend but this year school/work/sports schedules don't allow for that. Also hoping the flights aren't too high, but typically that has been the most expensive day of the weekend. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ah, this is good to know. We are headed West to Disneyland and debating going on 12/1 or the day before.

Well that has always been the case for us at least, which is why we try to return on Monday (Tuesday is even better) but it just isn't possible this year.

Good luck and hope you are able to get a good rate. Enjoy DLR, we love it. Going for the 5th time this summer.

With Southwest I have noticed MANY times a Wanna get away price for a flight will say "sold out" and then the next time I check there will be a price listed. In fact I've seen flights that will be listed as "sold out" many times over the course of a couple months. So, I really don't think a flight that just opened up would be sold out.

Having the same issue for our return flight on 11/10 to philly. Everything says sold out and one SW flight says it too...I just want to get this booking over with.

I just got off the phone with customer service and was told there won't be the discounted airfares in most markets for December 1st.

Omgosh... are you serious? I guess southwest isn't what it use to be. I only needed one way tickets as I already booked going but liked swa route going hone and the free bags. do they normally do this?
