Southwest $116 BWI to MCO

Just wanted to share the great fare I got earlier today flying with Southwest from Baltimore to Orlando. I've been checking every day and each way was running $79, at the cheapest. Today it was $49 each way, total with all fees was $116! We are traveling Aug 19-30! Our original plan was to drive - my kids and I hate that 15 hour car ride, though DH doesn't mind. So glad we'll be flying.

Thanks for the heads up. They aren't open for our dates yet although I don't hold out much hope for decent Christmastime flights. I'm in Calvert Co btw. You've got a heck of a drive just to get to an airport! We've done Amtrak and drove and we prefer the train over driving but of course, flying most of all.

Thanks for posting this information. I've been checking airfare from BWI to Orlando for several months, hoping and hoping that we'd get that $49 each way airfare. I hadn't checked the site in about 2 days and I just know I would have missed out had you not posted! I booked this evening $466.80 total for the 4 of us. I am soooo excited! Thanks again I agree, it beats that 17 hour drive.

I made a res from BWI to MCO R/T in March at $176.00 , I too saw it dropped to $116.00 and called Southwest. They were nice and offered me a credit after I complete my flight. That is $60 back !!

Thank you so much for alerting us to this great price! What an incredible deal! I hadn't been checking SWA since we normally fly out of IAD or DCA, but for this price an extra 30 minute drive to the airport is worth it. We will be in WDW the week before Labor Day. Now all I need are the AP rates for that time period to come out and I can sit back and relax!

Even my husband is impressed by the $116 roundtrip fare.

I got that exact deal a few days ago for June. I love SWA.
DH has a convention at the Hilton at Downtown Disney and I kept going back and forth over whether we should all go. When I saw that $98 RT fare I had to book. When I checked the next day they were back up to $79 each way.
I am so glad I jumped on it.

Yes Yes Yes...we got ours last Tuesday for $116.70/each ticket 6/23-6/28...the only problem is that we are returning flight leaves at 8:10 a.m. I check about 4 times daily to see if they open up a 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. return flight for $49.00 cause the extra 2 hours will definitely help...but there was no way I was letting the super price pass me by.

I thought the trick is leaving on a weekday to get the cheaper rates. But now they also even have some Sat. rates for $49 each way. I was afraid to keep waiting for fear that the seats would be full. Do they issue credit if prices go down on the same day or just your exact flight?

We are traveling in September and would LOVE to fly out of BWI again (we've been flying PHL since US Air cancelled their non-stop flights out of BWI).

I really though about it for this trip - not to mention my other trip later this month.

but I still a silly coward - I haven't flown since 9/11 and since the drive is only 9 to 10 hours and I generally leave at 4:00am - it is not in the cards for me.....

maybe some day I will fly again!
