SouthEAST Airlines boarding policies

I'm getting a little nervous reading about the SWA boarding policies and wondering if SEA have the same policies. Are there no seat assignments until the the last minute? We are a group of 8 going, 6 adults (I use a cane) and 2 little ones, 4yo and 7yo and we really don't want the kids to be separated, we're not concerned about the adults as much as the kids. Anyone know what the SEA policies are on boarding? ARe the A, B, C boarding passes used on SEA as well? Online check-in? TIA

Our seats were assigned when we checked in at the counter. Theer were 6 of us and we were able to get 3 and 3 no problem...We enjoyed our direct flight via SEA...no problems for us this past Christmas...

Same experience here. Don't be one of the last to check in, though.
