This airline has recently come to our area and I was wondering how it has been? I've never been on a "discount airline" and I understand that there are no pre-assigned seats. And that is my main reason for this post, how does this work? We will be traveling with young 2 children (4 and 7) and I use a cane, is there children and disable first seating like the other airlines? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

We used them in March 2003 to fly from Lehigh Valley to St. Petersburg. The plane was older, but fine. We got to the airport about 2 1/2 hours early and had no problem getting seats together. Coming back, we were on a plane that originated in Orlando, so we were the second stop. By then, the only seats that were together were in the back of the plane (very noisy.)
If you would be leaving from Orlando, I'm sure you would have no problem getting seats together if you arrived early.

We flew with them in October. We were assigned seats on both legs of the trip. I'm not sure what their process is, but we were given the seat assignments upon check-in.

We had no problems, the flights went smoothly. The planes are a bit old, which gave me some reservations, but I would consider using them again.

Also, just as an FYI, if you're not too far from the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area, a new carrier is offering non-stop service into SFB as well at very low prices ($69 each way). The website is www.vacationexpress.com.

Thank you both for your replies.

Helene: I didn't even know there was an airport in Wilkes-
Barre! Thanks for the link, its another choice for us. Thanks again.:teeth: :wave2:

We've flown Southwest twice to Orlando and they were great. Anyone with a child under 5 or 6 or anyone with a disibility boards first, so no worry with seating. They run great specials.

I got really nervous when I saw ashtrays in the arms of the plane and my seat was wired together. They were old planes. However they operation out of Allentown was very efficient. We left right on time and arrive no problems both ways. DH did not like the long drive from Sanford, we probably wouldn't do it again. Even for the savings. I liked the smaller Allentown airport.
