Did anybody else see Pawn Stars last night?

A guy walked into the shop with one of Ronnie Van Zant's famous hats!

Ronnie had just GIVEN it to him at a backstage party after a Skynyrd concert on August 29,1977-less that 2 months before the "Free Bird Fell To The Ground".

The guy wanted $25,000 and then came down to $20,000.

Rick offered him $10,000,but the guy wouldn't budge from $20,000.

If I was independently wealthy,I would buy that hat and present it to Darryl at next year's SLS.

I can't think of anyone who would put that hat to better use than him!

I was so excited to see that this Tribute Band will make their debut at this year's Sounds Like Summer Concert Series!

Of course,being a huge Lynyrd Skynyrd/Southern Rock fan,I am going to plan an unscheduled trip for that week(as if I need an excuse to plan a trip to WDW!LOL)!

Are there any other Southern Rock DISers out there?

I can't wait to hear the sounds of Free Bird flying high in Wordl Showcase!

The guys and girls rocked it and rocked it hard.

7 nights, 21 sets and not a single weather cancellation. Totally great!!

Now to start working on the powers that be to bring this concert series back for year 10 and Southbound for year 3.

If you care enough, fire off an email to Brad Ross, Creative Talent Manager and let him know you want this event to return. I don't have a direct email for him but sending something to the general guest communications address should get it to him.

As Otter49 said,the shows were AWESOME again this year!

Last night at the end of the last note of the last song,Free Bird of course,they shot off the "streamer cannons" they had been using for Mickey's America Streetbeat-it was so cool!

I may be reading too much into Darryl's comments last night,but I think the chance are excellent they will be back next year!
