South Jersey to Savannah, GA??

Anyone know how long it takes to drive from S. Jersey (I'm from the Philly area), to Savannah, GA??

It's about 8-10 hours ( maybe a little more) depending on how fast you drive and the time of day that you plan to go thru the DC area.

Thanks.....we are leaving on a saturday, about 5:30AM.
I have to figure we'll be driving about 70mph....I'm guessing the limit is 65?

DH is such a different driver than my dad...I haven't driven down since I went as a kid with my dad and he planned on about 6 hrs per day.

We did this a couple of years ago and I think it took us about 12 hours. We left late afternoon/early evening and did not hit much traffic. We have driven a few times to from Ocean County, NJ to Hilton Head SC and that is about 12 hours. I seem to remember Savannah being about the same.

I am from Delaware, near the Delaware Memorial Bridge and two years ago we left on a Sunday at 5:00am and arrived in St Augustine, Fl around 7:30 pm. We only made stops to fill up for gas, eat and use the restrooms. We were keeping up with the traffic on the highways which would consist of 65 to 75mphs. By leaving on a weekend we did end up avioding any traffic problems in DC. Good LUck and HAve a Good Trip

about 12 hrs. we'll be doing it from del. co. to savannah next monday.

We'll be going to Savannah too in August. DD is looking at a college there. We live in S. Jersey too, but are taking a detour first in North Carolina to look at colleges for DS and to look at houses. (Leaving NJ next year.)
