I don't have the book...yet. I need to lose 20lbs. I am a very picky eater and don't like much of anything that is good for me. I love Coke and anything sweet, which of course is my downfall. I don't really eat a lot, it's just that I don't eat right. I have heard that the SBD is very strict for the 1st 2 weeks. Would I be able to make any substitutions or would it be flexible enough for me as it is?

going2disneyagain, the first two weeks are very strict. It is so that you can lose all those cravings for sweets and for those things that are unhealty for you. After the first two weeks, things change, but you still should stay away from sweets and such as it will not help you lose any weight. If you feel that strongly and feel like you can't do it, maybe SBD isn't for you. There are many of us on Wish that are on SBD and we realized at one point that this is a way of life and that the best way to lose weight is to stick to the program as closely as possible. Anytime we have strayed, the weight either didn't come off or we had to start back at the beginning.

Get the book from the library and see if that is the way you want to go. Whatever you decide though, we are all here cheering you on!
