This may sound like a weird question to be asking... but since our next trip will be in the winter incase we hit a day or two in the 50's, Where's the best soup in WDW?????? Also whats the best Counter service Soup??? (i cant think of any CS places that actually have soup) Thanks!

CS-Columbia harbour House in the MK I always get the clam chowder and 1/2 a tuna sandwhich and it is awesome even when it is hot out!!!!!:rotfl:

I dream about the french onion soup at Chefs de France. And I loved the creamy lobster soup at Coral Reef.

The only counter service that came to mind was Columbia Harbor House for me, too.

Le Cellier has that wonderful cheese soup with pretzel bread, but it too is a sit down meal so if you don't already have reservations (hard to get) you might be out of luck.

If you're there between September 28 and November 12 of this year you will be able to get it at the Canadian kiosk during the Food & Wine Festival.

Boma would be a great choice for dinner on a cold day. They feature three or four deeelicious soups every evening.

Wait aminute...I think the Mara (also in AKL as well as Boma) has some sort of soup/stew...and it's counter service.

Crystal Palace has a very rich and creamy Bacon and Potato Soup!! I had seconds when it was 90 degrees..:rotfl2: I actually even wrote for the recipe it was so good!

CHina has a killer beef broth, beef and noodle bowl, it is amazing. My all time fav is the Butternut Squash soup from WPE in DTD...it is very rich and filling tho

The butternut squash soup at Boma is my favorite soup, and I have not eaten there before, but people on these boards have told me that the Mara (counter service) at AKL also serves the butternut squash soup.

You should definately try it!

tricia.

Kaki-Age Udon - vegetable tempura with shrimp and udon noodles served in a clear broth with green onions $6.49

I really enjoy this soup at the Yakitori House at Japan in Epcot. I know this wouldn't be for everyone. The CS at most resorts have soup. I know the WL has chili and another soup each day.

Beaches & Cream has a WONDERFUL chicken noodle soup that is not just delicious and filling, but also can cure WHATEVER ails you. If it's winter, you can't do better to either cure you, or keep you well, than their chicken noodle soup. Trust me, I've got experience at it, so this is my prescription for you ;)

Enjoy the Magic!

Boma has great soups but you do have to pay for the full buffet to get them. Which by the way, is well worth it!

The buttenut squash soup at Wolfgang Puck's is my kids favorite.....they love it and get it everytime we go there.....without exception.

I like Mara's butternut squash soup slightly better than Boma's. Maybe it's because it's cheaper there! Even though they told me that it comes from the same kitchen to both places and I had it at both places about an hour apart, the soup at Mara tasted a little better to me.

The Boma soups are terrific. They have other good stuff too, but the soups are the highlight for me.:earsboy:

The Le Cellier Cheese Soup is by far my favourite...if you're there at a time that isn't too busy, the seaters may be able to snag a server to ring through a "to-go" cup of soup and some pretzel bread...it's not always possible, but often worth a try if you aren't looking for a whole sit-down dinner.

I also love the butternut squash soup at BOMA...as well as the butternut squash soup at Wolfgang Pucks (at Downtown Disney)...you can get it in both the regular restaurant and at the Wolfgang Puck Express!! Soooo heavenly on a chilly day :cloud9:

Boma Coconut Seafood Soup!!! YUUUUMMMY!

It was my fav in March!!!

Must also endorse Boma!

Doesn't Mara have an African stew? Which I didn't eat...which is why I am asking the question...but stew is in the same family as soup...and Mara is CS...

Sunshine Seasons had a great pumpkin soup when I was there in August... I had to try it even though as hot as it was, soup wasn't exactly what sounded great right then. But I'm a big soup fan, and I couldn't pass up trying "Cinderella Pumpkin Soup". It was delicious!

I did eat a lot of soups this past stay.
Like them all
broccoli soup at Crystal palace
kona cafe some kind of chower DD ate
onion soup i think concourse
My DS loved all his soups on DDP
Coral reef lobster DD and DS

Boma's Butternut squash Soup! Yum!!

Also their Chicken Corn Chowder (I sent for that recipe!)

Chicken Noodle soup at the Dolphin is good and at Beaches and Cream!

Cheese Soup at LeCellier is good. DH didn't care for it though. He thought it had a 'wang" to it, LOL.
